According to Sky Sports News’ transfer live blog (12:08, 27/06) Leeds United are in advanced talks over a deal which will see Manchester City winger Jack Harrison return to the club on a season-long loan deal once again.
It has been widely reported that Leeds United are looking to bring in some new faces this summer, with a number of winger targets on the radar with Jack Clarke’s move to Spurs on the brink of completion.
But, one player who is closing in on a move to Elland Road has not long been away from the Championship club, with Manchester City winger Jack Harrison close to completing a return to Elland Road shortly after his loan spell with the club came to an end upon the conclusion of their 2018/19 Championship season.
Sky Sports News writes that talks between the two parties are at an advanced stage, with City keen for Harrison to continue his growth at Leeds United under Marcelo Bielsa. Harrison’s season at Elland Road will by no means go down in the history books, but he was a strong option for the Argentine, putting in his best performances for the Whites towards the tail end of the season.
In total, Harrison played 37 appearances, scoring four goals and laying on three assists along the way. And with a deal coming close to completion, he looks set to be given the chance to add to that total in the 2019/20 season, with Leeds looking to challenge for promotion once again after missing out last season.
