Stoke City in the hunt for three more signings- Luton Town star on radar

Stoke City are in the hunt for three more signings.

The Potters have already signed six players in this transfer market and want to continue to bolster their ranks, as per a report by StokeOnTrent Live.

Stoke finished 16th last season in the Championship after a disappointing campaign and are hoping to compete for promotion next term.

Their boss, Nathan Jones, is putting his own stamp on his relatively newly inherited squad and has the advantage of having a whole summer ahead to put his ideas across.

He has said, as per StokeOnTrent Live: “We’re looking to get as strong a squad as we possibly can in every position. We’re not far off getting two in every position. There are obviously a lot of surplus players that we won’t be taking forward. There’s no bad feeling in anyway.”

“We’re almost there but I think we need two or three more of pure fresh quality but they’re going to need to be better than what we have.”

The Potters have snapped up highly-rated Scottish defender Liam Lindsay from fellow Championship side Barnsley for an initial £2 million. They have also paid a fee for midfielder Jordan Cousins from QRR.

Jones has delved into the free transfer market to land midfielder Nick Powell from Wigan Athletic, striker Lee Gregory from Millwall, goalkeeper Adam Davies from Barnsley and left-back Stephen Ward from Burnley.

One player who join them at the Bet365 Stadium is Luton Town right-back Jack Stacey, who has been linked with Stoke this past week, as reported by The72.
