The 72

Pre-season training started on Monday for Leeds United, and it was double sessions for all as Bielsa Mk II got underway. After nearly two months twiddling their thumbs, Whites fans had something to get their teeth into.

First up was scanning the videos and photos released by the club to see who was back and who was training with who. In this respect, it was a welcome change from hearing that the club were interested in another Italian legend after Gianluigi Buffon and Francesco Totti were ‘linked’ to the club.

One absent face that caused much concern was that of mercurial Spaniard Pablo Hernandez. Hernandez deserved the club’s Player-of-the-Year award after an outstanding season where he scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists.

It wasn’t quite the case of panic mode when Pablo wasn’t spotted taking part in training, although it is safe to say that there was a mild ripple of discomfort felt amongst Leeds United fans. With tension already more than a little heightened at the imminent deprature of starlet Jack Clarke, having a ‘missing’ Hernandez was something was definitely not needed.

Thankfully help was at hand with his wife, Mar Garcia, taking to Twitter (below) to put everyone’s mind at ease.

Her news was more than a relief for fans, here’s a few of their reactions to the news that Pablo is back in Leeds and training with the Whites.

It could very well be a brief moment of raised spirits what with the Jack Clarke/Tottenham Hotspur transfer story set to be signed off soon with the 18-year-old in London and undergoing a medical ahead of a reported £10million move to the Premier League side.
