Adam Davies Joins Stoke for free

Adam Davies has left Barnsley and joined Stoke City for free.

Davies is a 26-year-old goalkeeper who has just left Barnsley to join Stoke City for free. The Shotstopper played a total of 184 games for the newly promoted championship side and was a big factor in the promotion. Davies was named in the EFL League One team of the season, which further proves his presence and impact that he has on a team.

The keeper may have been signed to compensate for Stoke City maybe losing England shotstopper Jack Butland, we will have to wait and see on that one.

The Potters look to improve on their disappointing league finish last season where they were quite far away from reaching even a play off spot. If they do lose Butland, Davies will be a great replacement for him and is sure to keep out a few great efforts.

After being relegated from the Premier League a few seasons ago, Stoke definitely have the money and players to get back to the big time, however some just haven’t been performing and maybe Davies will come in and compensate for that.

Overall, I think that Adam Davies is a great signing for the Potters, especially if they are to lose world class Jack Butland they have a superb replacement in Davies. I also think that Davies will help them massively in giving chase for the play-offs or even automatic promotion, to try and make it back to the dream land once again.
