Adebayo leaves Fulham to join Walsall

Elijah Adebayo has left Championship side Fulham to join League One side Walsall.

Adebayo has been at Fulham since 2016, and has decided it is time for another challenge after playing zero games for Fulham.

Adebayo has spent time on loan to teams such as Swindon and Stevenage. The young striker has played a total of 50 games in his career and has scored 13 goals in that time.

When asked about the signing Walsall manager said the player, “has all the attributes to be a top-class player.” Adebayo said “Its always a bit different when you are on loan but now I can call this place home and try to do as much as I can for Walsall.” Clarke also said “He’s quick, technically good, can win headers and run in behind, he has got all of the tools.” The manager of Walsall, Darrell Clarke clearly rates the 20 year old extremely highly and sees him as a part of Walsalls hunt for promotion to League One.

Overall the signing of Elijah Adebayo is a good one for Walsall, he hasn’t scored many goals in his previous stints at other clubs, however as he said he can now call Walsall his home and this may give him more of an incentive to do well and score more goals for the club.

Walsall were relegated from Leauge One last season, so this is a great opportunity of Elijah Adebayo to prove himself as a goalscorer and drive and guide Walsall back towards being in League One.
