Portsmouth Midfielder, Jamal Lowe (10) during the EFL Sky Bet League 1 match between Portsmouth and Rochdale at Fratton Park, Portsmouth, England on 13 April 2019.

Lowe (24), has been a head turner for Pompey recently, playing in fifty five games last season and scoring seventeen goals from the right wing, a very good return for a club that were beaten in the League One play-offs by Sunderland, he also chipped in with 9 assists for his team mates along the way.

The pacey and tricky wing man has informed the bosses of the south coast club that he would like a move away this summer, looking to further his career, with long standing rumours of Leeds United being very interested indeed.

Leeds are in the market for wingers, with the likes of Helder Costa (Wolves), Ryan Kent (Liverpool) and Harry Wilson (Liverpool) all being linked in recent times, so Lowe fits the bill. Will this news tempt The Whites into making an offer?

Leeds have also been linked with Ander Itturraspe (30), who has just been released by La Liga club Athletic Bilbao. Itturraspe is said to be up for a reunion with former Bilbao manager Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds, time will tell if this story has legs.

Meanwhile, the outrageous rumour linking LUFC with Gianluigi Buffon seems to be a persistent niggle in the fans ears as several news outlets just keep on spouting it, perhaps it’s true? I would suggest that it is more likely that Kiko Casilla will be given another opportunity before we see Buffon with a Leeds badge on his chest, unless he’s a fan?
