Callum O’Dowda may leave this summer transfer window to go to join Leeds United.

Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson told Bristol Live that Callum O’Dowda may have to move on this summer given concerns about his contract.

O’Dowda has been a great player for the Robins, scoring one of the goals of the season against Norwich. The 24 year old was at Oxford United before his move to the red side of Bristol, during his time with Oxford he played 87 games over three seasons and scored a total of 12 goals for the club.

His record at Bristol City isn’t as good having played 89 games and only scoring 5 goals. However, O’Dowda assists many goals having a great turn of pace and a skill or two in his back pocket aswell. The winger plays for the Republic of Ireland and has made 15 appearances for them.

O’Dowda may leave the Robins this summer after supposedly having a falling out over contract negotiations and apparently has his mind and heart set on a move to Leeds. Previously, Leeds have shown interest in the winger and made a move that was unsuccessful in the winter.

Overall, I think Callum O’Dowda is an amazing winger who can pull out a top drawer goal at any moment. However, I am not sure Leeds is the right place for him to go. Although from a Bristol City perspective fans will be thinking just take the money and run, if he doesn’t want to be there, don’t make him!
