Hull City in discussions over move for QPR goalkeeper

According to a report from West London Sport, Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Matt Ingram is in talks over a possible move to fellow Championship side Hull City.

Queens Park Rangers are looking to move on some first-team players this summer ahead of Mark Warburton’s first season in charge with the club. And, it is believed that Ingram is one of the players likely to be heading for the exit doors after falling down the pecking order at The Kiyan Price Foundation Stadium.

And it seems that Ingram could be close to making a move away from QPR, with a stay in the Championship on the cards. Hull City – led by new manager Grant McCann – are reportedly keen to bring the shot-stopper in this summer and a move is on the cards.

The 25-year-old started the first four games of Queens Park Rangers’ 2018/19 Championship season, in which they lost all four games and conceded 13 goals, including seven in a 7-1 thrashing at the hands of West Brom. After that point, Ingram did not play again in the Championship, with his other three appearances across all competitions coming in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

He was sent on an emergency loan spell with Wycombe Wanderers, where he played one game – a 1-1 draw with Sunderland – before returning to Queens Park Rangers.

Goalkeeper David Marshall’s contract with Hull City is set to expire soon and it is looking increasingly likely that he will be moving on, so McCann will be looking to bring in a new face in between the sticks if the Scot does depart.
