Championship side Luton Town are trying to sign former Arsenal, Notts County and Bristol Rovers full-back Marc Bola from League One side Blackpool.

Alan Nixon tweeted: “LUTON. Won’t leave Marc Bola alone. BLACKPOOL may offer contract and if refused then looks like a sale.

Last season, the full-back made 35 appearances for Blackpool and he netted twice. His performances have  certainly caught the eye of the winners of League One, Luton Town.

Marc Bola began his career at Premiership side Arsenal, he joined aged 13. Whilst at Arsenal, he enjoyed a few loan spell in the Football League.

Bola’s first loan spell was at the County Ground with Notts County, he managed to make 13 appearances for the club.

Two seasons ago, the 21-year-old spent time on loan at Bristol Rovers and he featured 23 times for them.

When Marc Bola joined Blackpool, current Bradford City manager Gary Bowyer described the defender and rates him very highly as he told Blackpool’s club website:

“Marc is a very athletic player with a strong football background from his time at Arsenal. He played against us for Bristol Rovers last season and he fits the model of our recruitment. He’s young, hungry, determined to impress and will provide good competition in the defensive line.”

This summer, Luton Town have already announce one signing which is winger Callum McManaman from Wigan, a player that Luton Town manager Graeme Jones knows well.
