Wigan Athletic are reportedly among the sides to have spoken to Hutton, only to be turne down in favour of a move to the City Ground.

Hutton spent eight years at Villa Park after joining from Spurs in 2011, spending time on loan at Nottingham Forest, RCD Mallorca and Bolton Wanderers during his time Aston Villa. During his time with Villa, Hutton played a total of 202 matches, providing eight assists and scoring three goals.

One of his two goals from the 2018/19 season will go down in the memories of Aston Villa fans for a long time to come. His mazy run followed by a tidy left-footed finish against fierce rivals Birmingham City went down a treat with the Villa faithful.

Now, Forest fans will be waiting for the confirmation of the deal with the transfer on the brink.
