West Brom boss Slaven Bilic wants to sign ex-Barcelona midfielder

West Brom are interested in St.Gallen midfielder Jordi Quintillà.

The Baggies will rival German duo Union Berlin and Stuttgart for his signature this summer, as per a report by Sport Witness.

Quintillà, who is 25 years-old, made 34 appearances in the Swiss Super League last season.

The new West Brom boss Slaven Bilic is keen on bringing in some new signings this summer to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad. He wants to bring in Quintillà to give him more options and depth in the midfield department next season.

The Spaniard started his career at local side Lielda before joining Barcelona as a youngster. He rose up through the youth ranks at the Camp Nou but never made a senior appearance for the European giants.

Instead, Quintillà gained first-team experience during loan spells at CF Badalona and CE L’Hospitalet.

He was snapped up by French side AC Ajaccio and spent a season there before moving to America to join Major League Soccer side Sporting Kansas City.

Quintillà made a handful of appearances for the Wizards and also spent time on loan with their affiliation club Swope Park Rangers.

He then joined North American Soccer League side Puerto Rico for a year prior to moving back to Europe to join St.Gallen last year.

Quintillà is a well travelled player and has gained experience of playing in different types of leagues. He could come in handy for West Brom if they snap him up this summer.
