Norwich City right back is being targeted by Manchester United

Norwich City are facing a battle to hold onto right back Max Aarons as he is now being targeted once again by Manchester United according to Sky Sports News.

Initially the Red Devils were interested in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and although they are still looking to tie up a deal for him they have been rebuffed on two occasions for bids in the region of £40million and £50million.

It now seems as though they have been put off by the huge price tag and they may turn their attentions back to Aarons who impressed last season for the Canaries in their title winning campaign as they gained promotion to the Premier League.

Wan-Bissaka had a fantastic breakthrough season with Crystal Palace but the London club are digging their heels in, in regards to a potential transfer for the England international.

United now may take another look at 19-year-old Aarons who was instrumental for Norwich who now look to be facing a struggle to retain their first choice right back.

Aarons also won the EFL Young Player of the Season award and was rightly commended and praised by his peers for the role he played in Norwich’s 2018/19 campaign.

United’s interest in the England U19 international comes amid a shift in transfer policy at Old Trafford towards targeting younger, homegrown players.

There is no doubt that should Norwich lose Aarons it would present a huge blow ahead of their challenge to stay in the Premier League next season.

However, the question remains if Aarons would be able to turn down a move to one of the biggest clubs in the world and the challenge of playing under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
