Leeds United interest in highly-rated Fulham starlet

Reports on Sports Bibleclaim that Leeds United have made a “significant bid” for Fulham 17 year old sensation Cody Drameh.

Fulham were said to be desperate to keep hold of the in demand defender but with time running out on his contract will look to do a deal and cash in.

Liverpool are one Premier League club said to be interested in the England Youth international with other reports actually indicating that Drameh is set for a medical with Eintracht Frankfurt of the Bundesliga.

However, sources say that Leeds United made a notable offer for the teenager at midday today, with the Yorkshire club hopefully a deal can be done.

The Dulwich born right-back chose Football over Basketball and was a regular for Mark Pembridge’s under 23’s side last season, playing 17 times in the Premier League.

But do Leeds need a right-back?

Maybe Drameh would be seen as one for the future, but if the bid is that significant, would the player be happy to play in the U23’s when he could move to Germany and possibly get a better opportunity?

Leeds currently have 2 senior right sided defenders in Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi, with the likes of Stuart Dallas and Lewis Coyle also adept in that department.

One thing is for sure, if the player has been singled out by Marcelo Bielsa, there must be serious potential there and we know from this season that the Argentinian is not afraid to use youth players, even in the bigger matches.
