The Sun journalist Alan Nixon has said that newly promoted Luton Town have made a bid to sign Birmingham City attacker Isaac Vassell – who the Hatters sold just under two years ago.
Luton Town only sold attacker Isaac Vassell to Birmingham City in the summer transfer window of 2017, but now it has been claimed that they are ready to bring him back to Kenilworth Road this summer.
Journalist Alan Nixon tweeted that Luton have made a move to sign Vassell this summer, but went on to add that Birmingham are preoccupied with the ongoing speculation surrounding the future of star striker Che Adams, saying:
LUTON. Bid for Vassell at BIRMINGHAM. Old favourite. Blues not keen to deal while Adams uncertainty.

Vassell was linked with a move to Championship outfit Middlesbrough in March of 2019, with it being reported here on The72 that he was the number one target of former manager Tony Pulis. However, with Pulis no longer at the Riverside, it seems unlikely that Boro will be making a move to bring him to the club this summer.
The 25-year-old’s time at St Andrew’s has been underwhelming since joining from Luton, playing 24 times and scoring one goal. He missed over a year of football through a knee injury from October 2017 to November 2018, playing a sporadic role under Garry Monk this season.
Prior to joining the club, Vassell enjoyed a successful spell at Luton Town, where he 16 goals and provided six assist in 55 appearances for the club. He spent just over a year with the club after joining on a free transfer from Truro City in 2016.
