Brentford and Millwall interested in Liverpool midfielder

Brentford and Millwall are interested in signing Liverpool’s Herbie Kane on loan according to a report from Goal.

The 20-year-old midfielder started his career at Bristol City but soon moved onto the Liverpool academy where he showed the staff there he had a lot of potential. He got his first taste of competitive football last season when he moved on loan to Doncaster Rovers where he was very impressive, making 38 appearances and scoring four goals as the South Yorkshire side made it to the Sky Bet League One play-offs.

With Kane doing so well for Doncaster, he will be heading out on loan again but this time to a team in the Sky Bet Championship. And two teams from London are said to be interested in signing him on loan. Both Brentford and Millwall want to push up the Championship table and are hoping that Kane can help them do that. Both will have a good chance at signing him but they are also joined in the race by Scottish side Hibernian.

Both teams would be improved by Kane. He showed last season that he was definitely a star of the future and making the step up to the Championship would be a wise move for him. Brentford and Millwall also need someone with his energetic presence if they want to compete at the right end of the second tier next season. So which team end up signing up will be given a big boost going into next season and will be a good thing for Kane’s ongoing development as a player.
