Championship winger not interested in Portsmouth move

Viv Soloman-Otabor is not interested in a permanent move to Portsmouth.

The winger spent the second-half of last season on loan at Fratton Park but does not want to return, as per a report by The News.

Soloman-Otabor, who is 23-years-old, will weigh up his options this summer with his contract at Birmingham City set to expire.

The London-midfielder made 10 appearances for Kenny Jackett’s side who got into the League One Play-Offs this past season. He scored once for Pompey.

Soloman-Otabor started his career with spells as a youngster at Hampton and Richmond Borough and Crystal Palace before joining Birmingham in 2012.

The Blues loaned him out to Oxford City in 2014 to gain some first-team experience. He made his debut for Birmingham in a League Cup tie against Gillingham a year later.

Soloman-Otabor spent time on loan at Bolton Wanderers in League One during the 2016/17 season before spending the next campaign at Blackpool. He became a key player for the Tangerines and played 47 games for them in all competitions, chipping in with five goals.

He has made 40 appearances for Birmingham in his career but will be in the hunt for a new club over the coming months.

The 5ft 9inc winger has proven himself in the third tier and got plenty of minutes under his belt in the Championship as well so could be on the radar of a number of clubs this summer.
