Huddersfield Town are facing pressure from Scottish giants Celtic and Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in the race to sign Ipswich Town’s Dylan Crowe, according to the Daily Mail.
The 18-year-old right-back finds himself subject to plenty of interest from a host of big European clubs this summer after an impressive campaign with the Ipswich youth side.
Crowe, who has been capped ten times by England at under-17 and under-18 level, was previously subject to interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United and continues to attract new suitors.
Recently-relegated Huddersfield Town are the favourites to land the teenager as it stands and have already had a bid of £300,000 rejected, with Ipswich holding out for a fee in the region of £500,000 for the talented defender.
A right-back by trade, Crowe can also play on the right-hand side of the midfield or in central midfield and could be a serious asset to Paul Lambert’s side should Ipswich manage to retain the services of the youngster.
However, the race to sign the England under-18 international continues to hot up with Scottish giants Celtic and German side RB Leipzig now both joining the race to sign Crowe.
A move North of the border could bring about plenty of game time for the 18-year-old, with the progress made by fellow full-back Kieren Tierney a clear indication of what a move to Scotland could bring.
That said, more and more English players are continuing their development in the Bundesliga with Reiss Nelson, Jadon Sancho, Reece Oxford and Emile Smith-Rowe all examples of highly-rated teenagers who have made the switch to Germany.
