Oldham Athletic have announced that winger Gevaro Nepomuceno has signed a one-year extension with the club and defender Alex Iacovitti has signed permanently on a 2-year deal with an option of a further year, confirmed by the club website.

League Two side Oldham Athletic have confirmed that winger Gevaro Nepomuceno has signed a one-year extension with the club and defender Alex Iacovitti has signed permanently on a 2-year deal with an option of a further year.

Gevaro Nepomuceno made 48 appearances in all competitions for the club last season and scored six goals, he told the club website: “Playing for this club I’ve had some special memories and I’m looking forward to next season now.

“I’m settled here and I have a good relationship with the fans so it was an easy decision to extend my stay.”

Alex Iacovitti joined Oldham Athletic on loan during the January transfer window and he became a vital part of the backline, he told the club website: “I really enjoyed my time here on loan and got a lot of game time towards the end of the season, so it only felt right to come back once I knew the club wanted me.

“I felt like I had a good connection with the fans and I can’t wait to get back playing and showing what I can do.”

The former Nottingham Forest defender previously had loan spells in League Two with Mansfield Town and Forest Green Rovers.
