Nottingham Forest want to offload Jason Cummings, Zach Clough and Apostolos Vellios this summer.

Martin O’Neill wants to trim down the Reds’ squad over the coming months, according to a report by Nottinghamshire Live.

The Championship side are also keen on selling winger Gboly Ariyibi, who has never made a senior appearance for them. Scottish Premiership side Motherwell are interested in signing him permanently, as reported by The72 earlier today.

Cummings joined Forest in June 2017 from Hibernian but has since been shipped out on loan to Rangers, Peterborough United and Luton Town. The 23-year-old is likely to be heading for the City Ground exit door permanently this summer, despite still having a year left to run down on his contract.

Clough could be doing the same. He signed for the Reds in January 2017 from Bolton Wanderers for a fee of around £3 million. However, the 24-year-old has managed just four goals in 25 appearances and has spent time back on loan at Bolton and then this season at League One side Rochdale.

Vellios is another O’Neill wants rid off. The former Everton striker has spent this season on loan in Belgium with Waasland-Beveren and has scored four times in 18 games. He joined Forest in 2016 from Greek side Iraklis for just under £1 million. He has bagged eight times since.

Getting rid of Cummings, Clough and Vellios will give O’Neill more room and wage budgets to manoeuvre with this summer.
