Sky Bet Championship club Bristol City are not thought to be poised to make a move for Forest Green Rovers midfielder Reece Brown according to reports by Bristol Live.

The 23-year-old Dudley-born midfielder has enjoyed an excellent season at The New Lawn but Brown is out of contract at the end of next month.

Forest Green Rovers have offered the player a new deal, however, Brown is said to be on the radar of several higher division clubs.

Bristol City are one club which have sent scouts to watch Brown in action but according to the latest reports, that is as far as their interest has gone and The Robins are not ready to submit a contract offer to the youngster.

Brown came through the youth ranks at Birmingham City and the midfielder went on to make 20 senior appearances for the Blues. In June 2017, the player joined current club Forest Green Rovers for their debut campaign in the English Football League. Brown has made 94 appearances for The Greens in just two seasons in Nailsworth in which he has scored 14 goals.

The midfielder was named in the PFA League Two Team of the Year for his performances throughout the 2018/2019 campaign and Brown’s next challenge could be to test himself at a higher level.
