Burton Albion eyeing double swoop for West Brom and Chelsea duo

Burton Albion are hopeful of signing Alex Bradley and Bradley Collins from West Brom and Chelsea respectively.

The duo have spent this season on loan with the Brewers and are looking likely to return there on permanent deals, as per a report by Derbyshire Live.

Both are out of contract next month meaning they can join Nigel Clough’s side on free transfers.

Clough has said: “Alex Bradley should be signing this week with a bit of luck, it’s just about all agreed with him. We’ll just get the paperwork done with that one. And then we’re just waiting for Brad Collins to come back off a stag weekend, and we are catching up with him later this week, just to see where we are and where he is with his situation“.

Bradley, who is 20 years-old, joined the Brewers on loan during the January transfer window and has impressed since. He spent the first of the campaign in the National League with Havant and Waterlooville Town and adapted well to the step up to League One.

Collins, on the other hand, was a regular between the sticks for Burton this season. He rose up through the youth ranks at Chelsea and was a key player for their youth sides.

The 22-year-old shot stopper moved to the Pirelli Stadium last summer on a season-long loan having previously spent the year before in League Two with Forest Green Rovers. Collins did well for Burton and could have earned himself a permanent move there now.
