Derby County winger Harry Wilson has been voted by you as the 10th best player in the EFL.
Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Wilson is the 10th best player in the Football League. This is the first time that he has been on the Top 50 Players countdown.
Because they have cropped up a few times on this countdown, we have talked about the Chelsea academy a few times and how so many of their players have impressed while out on loan in the EFL. But that isn’t the only academy having an impact lower down in the league ladder. The Liverpool academy is also one of the best in the country and they loaned out one of their best when Wilson signed for Derby County for the season. And he definitely showed what he was capable of.
While he had done very well with Hull City the previous season when he had been out on loan with them, Wilson was able to take up a notch with Derby. Whether it was because of the tactics or the coaching of Frank Lampard, he proved himself to be one of the top young players in the country with a string of impressive performances. The Welsh international made 49 appearances for the Rams, scoring 18 goals, a very impressive tally for a winger. Now he will hope to break into the Liverpool first team.
