Five years ago today Hull City played in the FA Cup final against Arsenal. Here is the Tigers’ starting XI that day and where they are now-
GK- Allan McGregor- The Scotland international is back playing in Scotland for Rangers for his second spell at the Glasgow side.
RWB- Ahmed Elmohamady- He spent five years at the KCOM Stadium but now plays for fellow Championship side Aston Villa.
CB- James Chester- The goal scorer of the Tigers’ first in the final also plays for Aston Villa nowadays.
CB- Curtis Davies- The scorer of Hull’s second joined Derby County in the summer of 2017.
CB- Alex Bruce- The 34-year-old is playing in Scotland for Kilmarnock. Since leaving Hull in 2017 he has played for Wigan Athletic and Bury.
LB- Liam Rosenior- He is now a pundit for Sky Sports and went onto play for Brighton and Hove Albion after Hull.
CM- Jake Livermore- West Brom paid £10 million to sign him from Hull in January 2017. He is back playing in the second tier now.
CM- Tom Huddlestone- Like Davies, Huddlestone switched East Yorkshire for a move to Derbyshire to join the Rams in 2017.
CM- David Meyler- The Republic of Ireland international is currently on the books at Reading but spent the last half of last season on loan at Coventry City.
AM- Stephen Quinn- He now plays in League One for Burton Albion.
ST- Matty Fryatt- The 33-year-old was forced to retire from the game due to injury in February 2018. His goals in Hull’s run-in to the FA Cup final in 2014 were crucial.
