According to a The Scottish Sun, Charlton Athletic’s out of contract midfielder Joe Aribo is now attracting interest Scottish champions Celtic, French Ligue 1 side Rennes and Premier League outfit Southampton.

Charlton Athletic midfielder Joe Aribo has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League side Arsenal over the course of the past few months, and now three new sides have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old.

Aribo has been a star performer for Lee Bowyer’s Charlton Athletic side over the course of the season. The Addicks boss is hoping that they can agree on terms on a new deal before his contract expires at the end of June.

The midfielder has scored 10 goals and provided five assists from the middle of the park this season, with four goals and two assists coming in the last five games to help Charlton shoot into 3rd place in the Championship table.

Aribo’s performances have seen him linked with a summer move away, and with his contract expiring at the end of next month, clubs are looking at bringing him in on a cut-price deal. Rennes, Celtic and Southampton are the latest to be linked, with Arsenal having watched Aribo’s situation closely for some time now.

A move to the Premier League could prove hard to turn down for the midfielder, with Arsenal and Southampton both bringing young talents into their side in recent years. A summer switch to French side Rennes could also be an interesting option, with a number of English youngsters abroad. Joining Celtic would also give the Charlton man the chance to test his luck in Europe after they topped the Scottish Premiership this season.
