Hull City striker attracting interest from abroad

Hull City striker Fraizer Campbell is attracting interest from abroad.

The 31-year-old is out of contract next month and could be heading overseas, according to a report by Hull Live.

Campbell impressed for the Tigers in the Championship this season and chipped in with 12 goals. However, the experienced forward will have to take a pay-cut if he is to stay at the KCOM Stadium.

Huddersfield Town have been linked with a move for him over recent months. The Terriers are back in the second tier next season and could see Campbell as an ideal summer signing.

The once-capped England international started his career at Manchester United and rose through the youth ranks at Old Trafford. He was loaned to Hull in 2008 and scored 15 goals to help the Tigers gain their first ever promotion to the Premier League.

Campbell then joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan for the season after before leaving Manchester United permanently to sign for Sunderland in 2009. He spent four years in the North-East before switching to Cardiff City.

The 5ft 8inc forward played for the Bluebirds for a season-and-a-half and helped them gain promotion from the Championship in 2013.

A spell at Crystal Palace followed for him before he re-joined Hull in the summer of 2017. He has bagged a combined 18 goals over the past two seasons but is now set to leave the Yorkshire side.

Could Campbell be on his way abroad this summer for a new chapter in his career?
