Gary Bowyer faces the task of rebuilding Bradford City this summer following their relegation to League Two. Here are five players he could sign for the Bantams-
Jack Doyle- The 22-year-old announced he is leaving Blackburn Rovers the other day. He was a youngster at Ewood Park when Bowyer was at the helm there. Doyle would be a shrewd free agent signing by Bradford as he is young, has a point to prove and would offer more depth in defence ahead of next season.
Scott Wharton- Bowyer will know the centre-back from Blackburn. Wharton, who is 21-years-old, has spent the last couple of seasons out on loan in League Two with Cambridge United, Lincoln City and Bury. Could he gain some more first-team experience at Valley Parade in the next campaign?
Marc Cullen- It has been announced today that the striker will be leaving Blackpool this summer. He scored 13 goals in the 2016/17 season to help Bowyer get the Tangerines promoted from League Two. He could be worth a punt on a free transfer and has played for Bradford before in 2010 on loan from Hull City.
Tom Aldred- He was a massive player for Bowyer at Blackpool and is also set to become a free agent. The 28-year-old joined Bury in 2017 but fell out of favour so has recently spent time on loan in the Scottish Premiership with Motherwell. Could he reunite with Bowyer this summer?
Callum Cooke- The 22-year-old midfielder has been transfer listed by Peterborough United. Bowyer signed him on loan for Blackpool in the 2017/18 from Middlesbrough. He is still a promising player and is an option for the Bantams.
