Stoke City want to sign Barnsley goalkeeper Adam Davies.
The 26-year-old contract with the Tykes expires next month and he could be on his way to the Bet365 Stadium, as per a report by StokeOnTrent Live.
Stoke are in the hunt for a new goalkeeper this summer with Jack Butland expected to leave with Premier League clubs such as Watford, AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace linked with him.
Davies, who has one cap for Wales to his name, has impressed this season for the Tykes in their promotion from League One this season.
Stoke are already preparing for another campaign in the Championship and are also set to sign striker Lee Gregory on a free transfer from Millwall as Nathan Jones looks to put his own stamp on his side.
Davies could join Gregory through the door. He was born in Rinteln in Germany but started his career with Everton. He signed for Sheffield Wednesday in 2012 but never made a senior appearance for the Owls.
He then switched Sheffield for Barnsley in 2014 and quickly established himself as the Tykes’ number one. The 6ft 1inc shot stopper has since played over 200 games for the Oakwell club.
Davies has played in the Championship before and could fit the bill for Stoke next season. The Potters will have to act fast if they are to sign him as he is also believed to be on the radar of Birmingham City, Bristol City, Hull City and Brentford.
