Bristol City and Fulham looking to land Chelsea starlet

Bristol City and Fulham are hoping to land Chelsea’s Martell Taylor-Crossdale this summer according to a report from The Mirror.

The 19-year-old midfielder is part of the Chelsea academy and ended up staying at the club instead of heading out on loan like many of his teammates like Tammy Abraham, Kasey Palmer and Reece James. While he has been unable to break into the Chelsea first team, he has impressed for their developmental sides and it is believed that he would be able to become a first team player somewhere.

But it is likely that Taylor-Crossdale will be leaving Chelsea this summer as his contract is set to run out and two teams are interested in signing him. The Robins still have an outside chance of being promoted as they are one point off the Sky Bet Championship play-offs though 6th placed Derby County have a game in hand that could eliminate that possibility that will take place tonight but they are still looking to sign players for next season. Alongside the Robins though, a team that is being relegated this season are also interested in Taylor-Crossdale. Fulham are also looking to sign him as they get a squad ready for the Championship after their drop from the top tier was confirmed.

While Taylor-Crossdale may not be an instant first teamer for either of the two sides, he should have the ability to be a solid squad player with the potential to improve and be a star much like other Chelsea youngsters have been in this division.
