Norwich City join Burnley and Southampton in race to sign Birmingham City star

Norwich City have joined Burnley and Southampton in the race to sign Birmingham City’s Che Adams according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The Canaries confirmed their promotion to the Premier League this weekend when they beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 on Saturday evening and are now looking for players who will help them stay in that division. They have already been linked with a number of players including Rotherham United’s Semi Ajayi and Rennes’ Mehdi Zeffane and the latest report links them with a potentially big signing.

Reports have already linked Burnley and Southampton with a move for Birmingham’s Adams and now that they have their status in the Premier League confirmed, Norwich are joining the race to sign him. Over this season, Adams has shown himself to be one of the best players in the Sky Bet Championship. While Birmingham were not involved in the promotion race due to their points deduction, Adams showed his worth by scoring 22 goals and making 4 assists. While the Blues were able to keep hold of him in the January transfer window, it appears that they may not be able to hold onto him this time.

If Norwich do want to sign Adams, they will have to spend a lot of money to do so. The former Sheffield United striker was valued at £15m and with so many teams being interested in his signature, that could go up. But if Adams is able to replicate his form in the Premier League, spending that much would definitely be worth it.
