Oldham Athletic produced an outstanding performance to beat Mansfield Town 3-2 at Boundary Park.

Pete Wild’s starting eleven consisted of Iversen, Edmundson, Iacovitti, O’Grady, Missilou, Lang, Clarke (C), Nepomuceno, Maouche, Hamer, Sylla.

Latics took the lead after 29 minutes when the impressive Mohamed Maouche played a perfect ball into the penalty area and Gevaro Nepomuceno slotted it past Mansfield Town goalkeeper Conrad Logan from 12 yards (1-0).

Early in the second-half, Gevaro Nepomuceno shot was blocked on the six-yard line and Mohamed Maouche smashed it into the Mansfield Town goal from the loose ball (2-0).

Mansfield grabbed a goal back on the hour mark, after Jacob Mellis played Tyler Walker through on goal and he finished through the legs of goalkeeper Daniel Iversen in the Latics goal (2-1).

However, seven minutes later Latics struck again as Gevaro Nepomuceno received the ball following a weak clearance and superbly struck into the top corner (3-1).

Latics searched for another goal as Callum Lang missed a chance to make it four.
