Hull City defender will miss Easter double-header

Hull City defender Stephen Kingsley will miss his side’s Easter fixtures against West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United according to reports by Hull Live.

The 24-year-old Stirling-born defender has appeared for The Tigers just once since the end of February with the player currently struggling with a thigh injury.

It has now been reported that Kingsley will continue to be sidelined with his injury problem and will not be available for either of his side’s Easter fixtures.

Hull City still have faint hopes of reaching the Sky Bet Championship play-offs with The Tigers currently five points behind sixth placed Bristol City with four games remaining. Nigel Adkins’ side travel to The Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion on Good Friday before hosting automatic promotion-chasing Sheffield United on Easter Monday.

Defender Kingsley has been a regular for Hull City this season. The Scot has made 26 appearances for the club in all competitions, a significant increase in his first team involvement compared to his first season at the KCOM Stadium in 2017/2018. All but one of those outings have come in the league as The Tigers have turned their season around.

Kingsley has helped his side to record seven clean sheets this season while he has shown some excellent discipline with the player having been cautioned just the once.
