Norwich City had to settle for a point today after being held 1-1 by Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.
The Canaries are now seven points clear of Sheffield United in third and four above Leeds United in second with four games to play.
Daniel Farke’s side, who were backed by over 5,000 fans in the North-West today, found themselves behind at half-time after highly-rated Chelsea loanee Reece James scored from the penalty spot to put Paul Cook’s side in front.
The visitors knocked on the door throughout the second-half and levelled ten minutes before the end when Teemu Pukki was found by Marco Stiepermann and slotted home past Christian Walton.
Both sides looked for a winner but the game ended with a draw which ultimately looked a fair result.
The points leaves Wigan two points above the Rotherham United in the relegation zone and level on points with Millwall in 20th. Whereas Norwich have taken a step closer to the Premier League.
Next up for Farke’s men is a home game against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday, followed by a trip to Stoke City next Monday.
Here is how their fans reacted on Twitter to their draw against the Latics today-
10 games unbeaten. 8 wins, 2 draws. Not at our best today. But, still top and 7 points clear of 3rd place. 2 wins needed… #ncfc

Shocking performance if I'm honest! Yet again it's Pukki to the rescue! Can't start the same starting 11 next time #ncfc

People need to stop worrying about other teams results let’s focus on our game we know 2 wins will do it hopefully next Monday, if sheff Utd slip up and we can get the win Friday then great but let’s not put our eggs in the basket of other teams slipping up to help us. #ncfc
