Roy Hodgson wants to bring Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew to Crystal Palace permanently, according to The Sun.

The former England manager wants to bring Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew to Crystal Palace permanently, following loan spell with the Premier League club.

Roy Hodgson and Crystal Palace managed to capture Jordan Ayew on deadline day on a season-long loan from Swansea City just before the end of the transfer window in August 2018.

Crystal Palace are reportedly set to offer £4 million, although Jordan Ayew has found it difficult this season at Crystal Palace, scoring just once in 18 appearances.

It is understood that Swansea are willing to listen to offers for Andre Ayew brother of Jordan, currently on loan at Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Wilfried Bony and Borja Baston.

In midweek, Swansea City beat Stoke City 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium. Daniel James produced a great performance as Swansea beat nine-man Stoke to keep their hope for a play-offs up.

Swansea City manager Graham Potter spoke to BBC Sport after the game: “I am delighted – very proud. The players were incredible.

“I thought the first-half performance was our best of the season considering the opposition, the form they are in and the fact that this was our fourth game in 11 days.

“There’s no denying we are in a good moment. The players want to get better – they have been a joy to work with.

“We have good momentum, good confidence and good belief and I was astonished by the energy levels we showed tonight.”
