They were held by their London and relegation rivals QPR at The Den on Wednesday night. The result does however move them a further point clear of the bottom three.

Neil Harris named an unchanged side for the third consecutive game, while John Eustace included Matt Smith in the QPR starting 11.

It would be him who would have the first chance of the game. A ball in from the left hand side came at a good hight for big striker who’s effort was saved by David Martin at the second attempt.

The games first major talking point came when Lee Gregory looked to be through on goal. The striker went down but no free kick was given. Rangers raced up the other end but James Meredith’s tackle prevent what would have been the games first goal.

The visitors continued to have the better of the chances but failed to make any off them count. Their best chance arrived in first half stoppage time. Luke Freeman’s corner in was headed over by Smith 6 yards from goal.

Millwall had the first chance after the break. After QPR failed to deal with a free-kick, the ball was lofted back into there box towards Jake Cooper who’s header was parried away by Lumley. The keeper then got up to claim Ryan Tunnicliffe’s header.

The visitors then threatened. Millwall failed to deal with a ball into the box, Alex Pearce was forced to head away for a corner, from that corner Rangers wanted a penalty, the ball appeared to hit the hand of Jed Wallace but nothing was given.

The game was turning into a bit of a midfield battle until the 72nd minute, when Osayi-Samuel beat Alex Pearce for pace but his effort was tame and easily saved by Martin, he then put the round wide of the far post.

In the end neither side were able to find a way through and both sides take a point in their battle to avoid the drop.
