Nottingham Forest duo Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow are set to join Premier League side Newcastle United before being loaned back for the start of the Championship season.

According to the Evening Chronicle,  both players are on Tyneside today for medicals with the North East club with the deals set to be complete later today.

Defender, Lascelles, 20,  had been chased by QPR and Spurs but it appears Alan Pardew has won the battle for his signature.

While Darlow, also 20, was Forest’s number one last season, caught the eye of many Premier League teams and Forest manager Stuart Peace will be more than happy to hold onto him for the next 12 months.

  1. Jesus do some research…Forest have already turned down £4million from QPR for Lascelles (and £5million several years ago from Arsenal when he ws 17) so why on earth would they accept £3 million now? Karl Darlow has said he doesn't want to leave Forest. Lascelles might go to Newcastle but I'd guess the fee would be more like £6 million and probably more.
