Derby County waiting on contract decision from Hull City, Bristol City and Stoke City target

Derby County manager Frank Lampard has said that he wants goalkeeper Kelle Roos to pen a new deal with the club, as interest grows with his deal up at the end of the season.

Kelle Roos’ contract at Championship side Derby County is set to expire at the end of the current season, and interest is growing amongst fellow Championship sides.

Roos – who has found himself in the starting eleven due to injury to Scott Carson – has been in negotiations with the club over the past month or so with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Proving that he has been worthy of a place in the starting eleven, a host of Championship clubs are eyeing up moves for Roos as they eye up the Dutchman with a cheap deal possible. Hull City, Bristol City and Stoke City have all been credited with interest in the shot-stopper ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Speaking to the Derby Telegraph, Rams manager Frank Lampard has provided an update on negotiations with Roos over a new deal, adding that he wants him to pen a new deal with the club.

“The club is still in talks. We want Kelle to sign, we have offered him a contract and at the moment the club is talking to his agent about it.

“I have stepped out of it because I am focused on the football, and Kelle should be as well. We can let the club and the agent deal with that.”
