Full Time – Oldham Athletic 2-0 Tranmere Rovers.
After the game, Oldham Athletic head coach Pete Wild spoke to the club website about the 2-0 win over Tranmere Rovers: “I’m very pleased, I thought what you saw was a workman like Oldham Athletic performance.”
“The lads really worked hard for each other, worked hard for the club and you can’t ask for more than that.”
“Let’s be honest they’re a really good side, so we had to do a lot of defending in the second half, but we did it excellently with a lot thrown at us.”
“It proves to us again that we’re a tough team to play against when we’re on our game.”
“I was confident all day, I thought we had a really good chance today and I know what our squad is capable of.”
“They had to bring their A game and they did which was the message that we wanted to go and prove a point.”

Fantastic performance. 2 great goals from Lang. Edmondson and missle were brilliant. Tranmeres number 6 was a donkey at fault for both goals. Norwood fouled his way through the game. great win #oafc

With the exception of Macc away, Tactically we’ve not put a foot wrong under Wildy imo…60% win percentage shows. Scholes would have brought 2 strikers on at 1-0 up. Get bent. #oafc
