According to a report from the Daily Record, Championship trio Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Atheltic and Millwall are all interested in Motherwell’s Spanish midfielder Alex Rodriguez Gorrin.
Championship trio Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic and Millwall are all reportedly keeping an eye on Spanish midfielder Alex Rodriguez Gorrin, who currently plays for Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.
The three sides are all expected to be in attendance to watch the Spaniard play for Motherwell in their midweek game against Aberdeen – with a view to possibly making an approach for him.
Gorrin burst into Well’s starting eleven during December and has held his own in the midfield ever since. He has been a driving force behind the club’s upturn in form since the New Year and Motherwell are keen for him to pen a new deal.
Gorrin made only his second appearance of the season in late November but he has since become one of the first names on the team sheet, starting in every Scottish Premiership game since January 23rd.
But, with his contract at Fir Park set to expire at the end of the season, clubs are free to approach him with contract offers outside of the transfer window.
Gorrin spent the majority of his youth career playing for League One side Sunderland, but he didn’t make a single appearance for the first team. He then went on to spend three years with Wellington Phoenix from 2014 to 2017 before joining Portuguese outfit Boavista, where he made no appearances.
Before joining Motherwell in June 2018, he spent a short spell with Romanian club Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe.
