“I’m loving it”- Premier League defender enjoying Aston Villa loan

AFC Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings is loving life on loan at Aston Villa.

The 26-year-old has become an instant hit at Villa Park since joining them on loan from the Cherries in the January transfer window.

Mings, who has previously played in the Championship with Ipswich Town, was frozen out by Bournemouth but has slotted straight into Dean Smith’s Villa side. He has been an integral part of their recent push for the Play-Offs.

The 6ft 5inc defender has said, as per a report by Birmingham Live: “It’s been everything I could have wished for and more. “We’ve hit form at the right time, momentum is key going into the play-offs

Anybody we face I think we’ll have a real good chance against. I’m loving it, the fans have welcomed me, the manager has been great, we’ve got some great coaches – John Terry for example – and I’m learning every day and enjoying football again”.

Aston Villa have risen into the top six under Dean Smith and are currently inside the Play-Offs on goal difference ahead of Preston North End. They face a big game against Blackburn Road at Villa Park tomorrow and will be looking to carry on their impressive form.

Many Villa fans are hoping they can make Mings’ move permanent in the summer. It is good for him to be playing regular first-team football again and he has proven that he still has a bright future ahead of him.
