Swansea City star on the radar of Champions League Quarter Finalists

The Sun has reported that Premier League side Manchester City are considering a move for Swansea City’s star winger Daniel James.

Swansea City star Daniel James’ form has caught the attention of football fans across the country over the course of the season. Now, it has been claimed by The Sun that Premier League side Manchester City are lining up a £7 million move for the Welshman.

James was heavily linked with a move to Leeds United during the January transfer window, only for a move to break down due to politics at the Liberty Stadium – despite a deal seemingly being all but confirmed.

Since the breakdown of his move to Leeds, James has continued his strong form and stressed that he is more than happy to remain in Wales, stating that he is hoping the sign a new deal with the club with his current deal set to expire at the end of next season.

In 29 games in all competitions so far this season, James has netted three goals and provided six assists. James’ strong performances week in week out have seen him become one of the league’s strongest performers.

The Welshman’s pace, energy and dribbling ability has seen him compared to Kylian Mbappe – especially after his goal against Brentford in the FA Cup, in which he picked up the ball inside and carried it to the just inside the box before coolly slotting beyond Bees goalkeeper Luke Daniels.

He also earned his second call up to the Wales squad in the recent international break, scoring his first goal for Ryan Giggs’ side against Slovakia last week.
