Crystal Palace are tracking West Brom winger Oliver Burke.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Celtic and is impressing for the Scottish Premiership champions and could be rewarded by a move to Selhurst Park this summer, according to the Daily Record.

Burke fell down the pecking order at West Brom earlier this season and made the loan move to Celtic in the January transfer window. He has since got his career back on track and has also forced his way back into the Scotland international squad.

The Baggies signed him for fee in the region of £15 million from Bundesliga side Leipzig in August 2017 but a hamstring injury meant he struggled to maintain a regular run in their starting eleven as they were relegated from the Premier League in his first season at the club.

Burke started his career at Nottingham Forest and rose through the youth ranks at the City Ground. He went onto play 31 times for the Reds’ senior side and scored 6 goals altogether.

His breakthrough into the Forest first-team as a youngster attracted the attention of Leipzig who forked out around £13 million to land him for their debut season in the German top flight.

Burke was such a promising talent a few years ago but injuries have halted his progress. There is no doubt Celtic will want to sign him on a permanent deal this summer, but can the Eagles swoop in ahead of them?
