According to a report from TEAMtalk, Championship side Brentford will place a massive £30 million price tag on playmaker Said Benrahma to stave off interest from Premier League sides.

Brentford are set to place a £30 million price tag on star man Said Benrahma ahead of the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

The Algerian playmaker has been in stunning form for Brentford since the turn of the year, catching the eyes of top Premier League sides such as North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. French news outlet Le Buteur also reported that Chelsea were keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.

Benrahma has been a strong performer for Brentford throughout the 2018/19 season, with the best of his form coming since the turn of the New Year. Since the start of 2019, Benrahma has netted an impressive nine goals, picking up nine assists along the way as well.

Given his strong form, Brentford are obviously keen to keep hold of their star performer and hope that a £30 million price tag will keep interested sides away from making a move.

The Bees have proved to be specialists at signing players and either developing them into quality Championship players or selling them on for big fees over the past few seasons. Ollie Watkins and Benrahma have gone on to impress massively in the Championship, with their form catching the eyes of top-flight sides.
