Derby County star not paying attention to Premier League interest

Derby County defender Jayden Bogle has insisted he is not distracted by rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League.

The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene this season for the Rams and has impressed for Frank Lampard’s Play-Off chasing side.

Bogle has played 36 games in all competitions for Derby in this campaign and is being tipped for a big future in the game.

He was linked with a move to the top flight in the January transfer window but has said his mind is solely focused on his current side at the moment.

Bogle has said, as per Derbyshire Live: “I didn’t really pay much attention. My main focus was here with Derby and that’s where I want to be at the moment. I am just trying to give my all to the club”

The youngster has admitted he wants to play in the Premier League one day: “Yes, that is the main ambition but as a young player when you do see your name linked to a Premier League club obviously you start to think about it but I just tried to get it out of my head as quick as possible and focus on what I have to do at this club.””

He spoke to Lampard about the rumours a couple of months’ ago: “We spoke briefly about it, but nothing major. Obviously, I knew the decision that I was never going to leave, and I have committed to this club”.
