QPR playmaker speaks out about links with summer move to Leeds United

It was reported last week that Leeds United were keeping tabs on Queens Park Rangers star Luke Freeman, but the playmaker has said he is not concentrating on rumours linking him with a move away from Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers star Luke Freeman has said that he is not concentrating on reports claiming that fellow Championship side Leeds United are taking an interest in him.

talkSPORT wrote that QPR duo Luke Freeman and Eberechi Eze were catching the eyes of Leeds United, with the Championship title hunters scouting him over recent weeks. However, speaking to West London Sport, QPR star Freeman has said that he isn’t letting the rumours get in his way as he looks ahead to the final 10 games of the season.

“I’m not concentrating on that at all,” Freeman said.

“We’ve got 10 games left of the season, the most important thing is QPR – so I will concentrate on QPR picking up points and winning games.”

Before the start of the current Championship season, Freeman was heavily linked with a move away from Loftus Road. Blackburn Rovers were keen to sign him but had an offer of £4 million knocked back on transfer deadline day last summer.

Middlesbrough were also reportedly interested in him during the summer and were set to follow up their interest during the January transfer window, but nothing materialised.

Freeman only signed a new deal with the club in November of last year, but it hasn’t stopped him from being linked with a move away once again.
