Malmo FF youngster Amel Mujanic is on the radar of Championship side Leeds United and Premier League outfit West Ham United, the player’s agent has revealed.
Ivan Klasnic – the agent of Swedish starlet Amel Mujanic – has said that English clubs Leeds United and West Ham are both interested in possibly signing his client.
Speaking to Swedish news outlet Aftonbladet, Klasnic – who spent three years playing in England for Bolton Wanderers – has said that Mujanic could move away from Malmo if he is not offered a chance with the senior team. Klasnic added that the youngster “thrives” in Malmo, but they could have to look at “another solution”.
The Swede is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Allsvenskan side but travelled with the squad for their pre-season training camp in Marbella. He has played nine times for the club’s Under-19s side, netting two goals from the middle of the park (Transfermarkt).
Mujanic has also represented Sweden at two youth levels, playing for both the Under-17s and Under-16s. He has played 12 times for the Under-17s and scored one goal and played twice for the Under-16s.
It is not only Leeds United and West Ham that are interested in the 17-year-old midfielder. Klasnic added that there is interest from clubs outside of England, but gave no hints as to who they could be and where they are from.
It will be interesting to see how Mujanic’s situation develops. Klasnic clearly rates his client highly and believes that he can go on to play first-team football, but with Malmo seemingly thinking otherwise, he could look to move Mujanic to away.
