West Brom are in talks with Slavisa Jokanovic, as reported by The72 yesterday.

The Baggies are looking for a swift replacement for Darren Moore, who they sacked on Saturday night. Jokanovic, who is a two-time Championship promotion winner, is firmly on their radar.

Jokanovic’s career so far-

The 50-year-old played for the likes of Partizan, Oviedo, Deportivo and Chelsea in his playing days and first got into management with Partizan in 2007. He won the Serbian SuperLiga and Cup both on two occasions.

Jokanovic then went onto have spells in Thailand with Muangthong United, Bulgaria with Levski Sofia and Spain with Hercules before moving to England to join Watford in 2014. He guided the Hornets to promotion to the Premier League but left them in the summer.

He joined Israeli giants Maccabi-Tel-Aviv for six months before returning to the Championship for Fulham in December 2015.

Jokanovic got the London side into the Play-Offs in his first full season in charge but they lost to Reading in the semi-finals. Nevertheless, his side won them in the last campaign when they beat Aston Villa in the final courtesy of a Tom Cairney goal.

Reaction-

The Serbian boss knows what it takes to get out of the Championship and would be a shrewd appointment by West Brom. Here is how their fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours-
