Sunderland midfielder Luke Molyneux is unsure about his long-term future at the club.
The 20-year-old is currently out on loan at National League side Hartlepool United and his contract at the Stadium of Light expires at the end of the season.
He is a product of the Black Cats’ academy and has made three appearances for their first-team so far in his career.
Molyneux spent the first half of this season on loan at Gateshead before making the switch to Hartlepool in January.
He has admitted he is unsure where his future now lies, as per a report by The Hartlepool Mail: “It is up to the people upstairs. I have to see what happens at Sunderland first, really. I have no complaints about being here, I have enjoyed everything since I have arrived and we will just have to see about next season“.
Molyneux is enjoying his time at Victoria Park: “I like it here- we have a good group of lads who helped me settle in straight away. I am just glad I am getting game time, which is the main thing”.
“The coaches have been great and so have the players. They have all ensured I have enjoyed every minute of my time here”
His future at Sunderland could depend on what league they are in next season and whether their manager, Jack Ross, believes he has a future there.
