West Brom planning talks with ex-Watford and Fulham boss today

West Brom are planning talks with Slavisa Jokanovic today.

The Championship side have approached the Serbian boss over their vacant managerial position, according to the Daily Mail.

The Baggies sacked Darren Moore on Saturday night after their 1-1 draw at home to rock-bottom Ipswich Town, despite being fourth in the league. The72 picked out five potential candidates to replace him yesterday.

West Brom are currently seven points into the Play-Offs and nine points off the automatic promotion places. Slavisa Jokanovic has got experience of being promoted to the Premier League so would fit the bill if they can get a deal over the line.

He guided Fulham to the top flight last season via the Play-Offs but was harshly sacked midway through this season.

The 50-year-old played for the likes of Partizan, Oviedo, Deportivo and Chelsea in his playing days and first got into management with Partizan in 2007. He won the Serbian SuperLiga and Cup both on two occasions.

Jokanovic then went onto have spells in Thailand with Muangthong United, Bulgaria with Levski Sofia and Spain with Hercules before moving to England to join Watford in 2014. He guided the Hornets to promotion to the Premier League but left them in the summer.

He joined Israeli giants Maccabi-Tel-Aviv for six months before returning to the Championship for Fulham in December 2015.

Jokanovic did an impressive job at Craven Cottage and West Brom fans will be hoping he can replicate what he did there and get the Baggies promoted this season, should he join them of course.
