Aston Villa loan star linked with £20 million summer switch to German side

German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are interested in a £20 million summer move for Aston Villa loanee Tammy Abraham, The Sun has claimed.

Aston Villa loan star Tammy Abraham is on the radar of German outfit RB Leipzig, who are reportedly considering a £20 million move this summer.

Since joining Villa on loan in the summer transfer window, Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has been in impressive form, catching the eyes of a host of sides. The 21-year-old has netted 21 goals in 29 Championship games for Aston Villa so far this season and has his sights set on winning the golden boot.

During the January transfer window, there were concerns for Villa that he would be poached by a Premier League side, with Wolves reportedly keen to bring him in on either a permanent deal or a loan deal. However, the two-time England international decided to remain at Villa Park for the remainder of the season instead of pursuing a deal with a top-flight side.

After another strong season in the Championship, it is likely that Abraham will be wanting to play top-flight football next season and a host of sides will be keen to sign him. And, as The Sun writes, interest won’t just be coming from England.

RB Leipzig are looking at the possibility of a permanent deal for the striker, with £20 million being the fee mentioned. The German side could be on the lookout for a new striker in the upcoming transfer window, with their own star striker Timo Werner, who has been heavily linked with Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
