Nottingham Forest will again be without the services of striker Lewis Grabban when they travel to the bet365 Stadium to take on Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship this afternoon.

The 31-year-old evergreen frontman is enjoying a productive season with The Reds following his reported £6 million move from English Premier League club AFC Bournemouth with the player having netted 16 goals in all competitions.

Grabban has not featured for Forest since their goalless draw with Preston North End in the middle of last month with the striker struggling with an Achilles problem. Nottinghamshire Live have reported that the player will not be fit for this afternoon’s fixture against Stoke City while no date has been pencilled in for his return.

It is understood that Grabban has received a number of injections in a bid to help the recovery of his injury, however, Forest boss Martin O’Neill is in no rush to get the player back on the pitch with The Reds possibly needing the frontman for a final promotion push.

Grabban’s 16-goal haul this season is his best since the 2013/2014 campaign. In that year, he netted 22 goals in all competitions for former club AFC Bournemouth as they recorded a solid top half of the table finish in the Sky Bet Championship.
